The ultimate goal is to source and provide secure, cost-effective and adaptable ICT solutions.

The organisation believes that information technology is a strategic resource for the government. It allows for increased productivity, thus making several government operations more efficient. SITA tries to follow best ICT practices and recognises its role in modernising South Africa and improving service delivery.
