General Entry Requirements for SANDF Recruitment

SANDF Military Skills Development Program (MSDS)

The Military Skills Development Program (MSDS) is an entry-level program designed for young South Africans interested in a military career. To qualify, you must meet the age, education, and medical fitness requirements listed above. This program offers participants the chance to gain valuable military training and skills.

The SANDF Selection Process

The SANDF has a structured selection process to ensure that only the most suitable candidates join. Here’s what the process involves:

  1. Psychometric Evaluation: Candidates undergo aptitude tests to assess their potential for development in their chosen role.
  2. Selection Board Interview: This formal interview evaluates your interest in the Defence Force, self-confidence, leadership potential, and communication skills.
