De Beers invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2026.

Internship Location: Kathu, Northern Cape

We are seeking graduates who can bring new ideas and fresh approaches to help us in our quest: to discover ever safer, cleaner and more responsible ways of working that focus on the health and well-being of our colleagues and the people in the communities where we work.

We offer exciting opportunities to graduates who want to have a smarter future within mining.

You will initially join a two-year Graduate Development Program with the chance to make a difference in real projects and the opportunity to work across open cut or underground mining, putting you on the fast track towards a successful career in the mining industry.

The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

Hospitality Intern

  • Grade 12 and interest in Hospitality Management
  • All applications must strictly come from Amandelbult mine host communities.
  • Applications from outside the boundaries of Amandelbult complex host communities will not be considered. 

Ventilation Engineering Graduate

  • Have completed a degree or postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters) in Mining Engineering within the last 2 years or must be due to complete the study by January 2026.

Industrial Engineering Intern

  • Have completed a 4-year Industrial Engineering degree or currently completing 4th year which must be due to complete the study by January 2026.

Safety Graduate / Intern

  • Have completed any Technical degree in mining disciplines (BSc Eng/BEng)/currently completing 4th year within the last 2 years or must be due to complete the study by January 2026.

Civil Engineering Graduate

  • Have completed a 4 year Civil engineering degree or currently completing 4th year which must be due to complete the study by January 2026.

GeoTechnical Engineering / Hydrogeology Graduate

  • Have completed a degree or postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters) in GeoTechnical Engineering or Hydrogeology within the last 2 years or must be due to complete the study by January 2026.
  • Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.

Projects Graduate

  • Have completed a degree or postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters) in Construction Management within the last 2 years or must be due to complete the study by January 2026.
  • Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.
