You can pay for residence at the University of Alberta (UAlberta) in Canada using the following methods:

- Bear Tracks: Bear Tracks is the UAlberta’s online student portal. You can sign in to Bear Tracks and click on the “Financials” tab to make a payment. You will need to select your bank from a dropdown menu and then log in to your bank website to complete the payment. There is no service fee for paying through Bear Tracks.

Your Confirmation Letter will identify your payment type as either term or monthly.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to pay your residence fees through Bear Tracks:
- Sign in to Bear Tracks.
- Click on the “Financials” tab.
- Select “Make a payment”.
- Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser.
- Select your bank from the dropdown menu.
- Log in to your bank website in the pop-up tab. or.
- Access your bank website.
- Log in to your bank account.
- Enter the amount you want to pay.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- PayMyTuition: PayMyTuition is a third-party payment processor that UAlberta uses to collect payments. You can create a PayMyTuition account and link it to your UAlberta student ID. You can then use PayMyTuition to pay your residence fees, tuition, and other UAlberta fees. There is a service fee for paying through PayMyTuition.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to pay your residence fees through PayMyTuition:
- Create a PayMyTuition account.
- Link your UAlberta student ID to your PayMyTuition account.
- Select “Residence/Meal Plan” from the payment options.
- Enter the amount you want to pay.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- Cheques: You can also pay your residence fees by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to the University of Alberta and mailed to:

- Credit card: You can also pay your residence fees by credit card. You can do this by calling the Residence Services office at 780-492-5511.
- International payments: If you are an international student, you can pay your residence fees through PayMyTuition or by using Convera and selecting “Residence/Meal Plan”.
- Participating banks: You can also pay your residence fees at participating banks in Canada. Payments will be applied to any fees owing from prior sessions first.
Please note that the deadlines for paying your residence fees are as follows:
- Fall Term: September 29
- Winter Term: January 31
Residence deposit
Your Residence Deposit will be credited to your residence account in Bear Tracks and applied towards your first month’s rent or any past due charges.
