Legal Aid Port Elizabeth

Currently, Legal Aid SA is seeking a Legal Secretary for its Port Elizabeth Local Office. This position is pivotal in supporting the Civil Unit, and the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks. Here’s a brief overview of the key responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Effectively carry out the Civil Unit’s administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Secretarial Duties: Provide efficient secretarial support, including typing, proofreading, and document distribution.
  • Filing and Documentation: Maintain an organized filing system and assist legal practitioners with case preparations.
  • Communication: Ensure timely communication and acknowledgment of documents between various units.

The role requires a recognized Grade 12 certificate and at least one year of relevant experience within a legal environment. Good written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential.
