It takes ten days for an air-mail item abroad and between two and three months for a surface-mail item to a country abroad.<\/p>\n\u00a0 <h5> How long does a letter take to reach its destination when posted overseas?<\/h5>\n\u00a0 <p>The timeframe depends on the service that the sender chooses as there are a few options. When posting an item from SA we&rsquo;ve got ordinary\/insured and registered airmail, &#8211; surface mail and EMS. Airmail has an estimated delivery time of 10 to 14 working days. Surface mail has an estimated arriving time of 8 weeks to 3 months and EMS \u00a0takes between 4 to 7 working days.<\/p>\n\u00a0 <h5> My letter or parcel is very urgent!
