The majority of these programmes target beneficiaries from previously disadvantaged communities. Eskom?s target is to maintain the learner baseline at 12% of the personnel complement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To this end, Eskom provides opportunities for 2 350 unemployed youth on its various learnership programs per year. These programs include&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/salearnership.co.za\/electrical-engineering-learnerships\/\">Electrical<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/salearnership.co.za\/mechanical-engineering-learnerships\/\">Mechanical<\/a>, Welding, Control and Instrumentation,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/salearnership.co.za\/fitting-and-turning-learnerships\/\">Fitting &amp; Turning<\/a>, Heat Pumps, and Administrative training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tertiary students voted Eskom South Africa as the best Engineering &amp; Technology company to work for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Eskom generally offers various learnerships under the banner of Eskom FET Learners\/Learnerships (including Learner Plant Operators), for which the following general rules apply:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eskom Learnership Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are certain requirements for being accepted into these learnerships:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be a South African citizen<\/li><li>Applicants must be in possession of:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>&nbsp;A Standard 10\/Grade 12 Certificate with:<\/strong><ul><li>English symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><li>Mathematics symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><li>Science symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>N3\/NCV level 4 Engineering subjects with:<\/strong><\/li><li><ul><li>&nbsp;English symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><li>Mathematics symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><li>Science symbol E or level 3 and above<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Tools<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The following selection tools will be used in selecting suitable applicants for the learnerships:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Background checks\/integrity assessments<\/li><li>Curiosity Test<\/li><li>Interview<\/li><li>Lego<\/li><li>Medical Assessments<\/li><li>Nuts and Bolts<\/li><li>Psychometric assessments (optional)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Only applicants who meet all the above requirements will be taken into consideration for further selection. The annual intake of learners depends on the number of learnership opportunities that are available in each financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Receipt of your online application will be acknowledged. If you have not received a notification to come in for an interview within 30 days after applications for the learnership have closed, it means that your application was not successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Eskom Artisan Bricklaying Learnership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is outcomes-based learning, and the learnership is based on a legally binding contract between the learner, the employer, and the service provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>This specific Eskom Learnership Programme is for a period of four (4) years.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eskom Learnerships Minimum Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The minimum requirements for the Artisan Bricklayer learnership are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Qualification(s):<\/strong><ul><li>Grade 12 (Technical \/ Academic) with Mathematics and Science<\/li><li>Grade 10 (Technical \/ Academic) with N2 including Mathematics, Science, Trade Theory and Drawings<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Desired Qualifications:<\/strong><ul><li>Grade 10 or higher (Technical \/ Academic) N2 including Mathematics, Science, Trade Theory and Drawings<\/li><li>Relevant NCV 4 qualification with Grade 10 or higher including Mathematics and Science<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eskom Learnerships: Application Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to apply for the Learnership, you must complete an application form in your own handwriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You can get the&nbsp;<em>Application for Admission to a Learnership form<\/em>&nbsp;from the Eskom website. A direct link to download it will be included in all advertisements for Eskom learnerships.<\/li><li>The Eskom website is&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eskom.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.eskom.co.za<\/a><ul><li>Once you get onto the website, look on the top for the link that says \u201c<strong>Learnerships\u201d or \u201cCareers\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>and follow the instructions to download the necessary information and the application form<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When applying for the learnership, make sure that you specify the learnership post that you are applying for (e.g. Eskom Learners Artisan Elec. Heavy Current)<\/li><li>Make sure to sign the application form yourself<\/li><li>Attach certified copies of your certificates and Identity Document (these copies must have been certified within the last 3 months \u2013 you can get this done at any Police Station)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Application forms that are late or unsigned will not be accepted<\/li><li>Photocopied forms will not be accepted<\/li><li>Faxed or emailed forms will not be accepted<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Completed application forms with all necessary attached documents must be submitted as per instructions on the particular learnership information or application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eskom Learnership Information&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for this learnership will open later in the year, normally around November or December.
