All interested applicants should apply using the details below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internship<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Location:<\/strong>&nbsp;South Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internship Application<\/strong>&nbsp;Closing Date :&nbsp;<strong>05 September 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible, interns MUST meet the following minimum requirements:<br>\u2022Be a South African citizen or South African Permanent Resident (with a valid South African Identity Document).<br>oNon-South Africans are not eligible to apply;<br>\u2022Should be currently unemployed and 35 years of age or younger at the time of submitting the application;<br>\u2022A graduate holding any of the following:<br>oNQF Level 7: Bachelor\u2019s, Advanced Diploma, or B-Tech Degree;<br>oNQF Level 8: Bachelor\u2019s Hons Degree, and Postgraduate Diploma;<br>oNQF Level 9: Master\u2019s Degree or M-Tech.<br>\u2022Hold a qualification in Science, Engineering and Technology, Research, Development, Innovation, Social Sciences and Humanities or related disciplines and SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED THEIR STUDY at the time of submitting the application. See list of areas of specialisations\/disciplines by province below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following applies to candidates who are NOT ELIGIBLE to be appointed as DSI-HSRC interns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Candidates who hold a Diploma at BELOW NQF level 7 as well as PhD at NQF level 10;<br>\u2022Candidates who would be registered full-time for study<br>\u2022Registered Doctoral (PhD, DPhil and DTech) students; and<br>\u2022Candidates who hold DSI-funded scholarships or bursaries during the internship year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The internship programme is offered for a period of 24 months.
