They acquire social values, environmental\u00a0awareness, life &amp; leadership skills as well as career skills.\u00a0Throughout our programme, the students have access to\u00a0individual counseling and life coaching based on\u00a0individual assessments.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, parent workshops\u00a0and family sessions are offered to promote positive\u00a0parenting and caring families in the communities.\u00a0After graduation, our students are encouraged to give\u00a0back to their communities as positive role models by\u00a0volunteering at Community based and Non Profit\u00a0Organisations. Our graduates will be continuously\u00a0tracked and further supported for 5 years to ensure\u00a0that sustainable personal growth is achieved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our 3-month Development Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I. Orientation Phase<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a foundation for our programme, a daily routine is established\u00a0where discipline, neatness and personal hygiene are emphasised.\u00a0The following life skills are offered: Personal development,\u00a0Substance abuse, Goal\u00a0setting, Conflict\u00a0management, Interpersonal\u00a0relations, Basic health &amp;\u00a0nutrition, HIV\/Aids,\u00a0Sexuality, First aid (level 1),\u00a0Fire fighting (level 1) and\u00a0Environmental awareness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II. Outdoor Phase<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our students head to the great outdoors to test their\u00a0personal limits, discover strengths and weaknesses,<br \/>\ndevelop teamwork skills and experience the power of\u00a0nature. Hiking, abseiling,\u00a0kayaking and rock climbing\u00a0are just some of the challenges.<\/p>\n<p>After this phase, the students\u00a0will be allowed visitors for the\u00a0first time since leaving home.\u00a0III. Skills Phase\u00a0According to the needs in the job market, the students will be exposed\u00a0and introduced to different technical\u00a0skills, as part of a career orientation\u00a0to assist them with future job\u00a0decisions. Hairdressing &amp; grooming,\u00a0welding, carpentry, cookery, basic\u00a0computer and office administration,\u00a0home care, First Aid (Level 1), Child\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Youth Care development are some of the skills offered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IV. Community Phase<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our students are prepared for their life back in the\u00a0\u2018real\u2019 world by focusing on life orientation skills\u00a0and career guidance. Students are\u00a0encouraged to \u2018give back to society\u2019\u00a0by connecting with schools and\u00a0community organizations and doing\u00a0positive community work like sports\u00a0coaching in schools, helping at Old\u00a0Age Homes or marshalling at events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Life Coaching &amp; Family Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our professional Life \u00a0Coach conducts individual assessments during the Orientation Phase to gather information about the students\u2019 backgrounds and their social needs\u00a0The Parents\u2019 workshops are an integral part of this programme and 3 workshops are presented during the 3-months training. The aim is to encourage positive parenting styles and restoring caring, loving relationships within the home.Letters from Parents and Students\u00a0Chrysalis had a positive impact on my son.
