In response to this, GIBS has restructured the MBA. GIBS accommodates students with a three year degree through a Postgraduate Diploma in General Management. Students need to successfully complete all requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma in General Management in order to be eligible to gain entry into the GIBS MBA.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"ms-rteElement-H4\">The following core courses are covered in the Postgraduate Diploma in General Management:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Microeconomics<\/li>\n<li>Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Human Behaviour and Performance in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Management Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Macroeconomics<\/li>\n<li>Human Resource\u200b<\/li>\n<li>Strategy Analytical Tools and Techniques<\/li>\n<li>Corporate Finance<\/li>\n<li>Organisational Development and Transformation<\/li>\n<li>Operations Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>Should the\u00a0subjects completed in your honours degree\/postgraduate diploma\/equivalent qualification or higher does not match the above core subjects covered in the PGDip, you will then have to begin with the PGDip phase 1 and then move onto the MBA phase 2.<\/p>\n<p>This does not affect the duration it will take to complete your MBA journey. An undergraduate degree and a desire for further challenges alone are not sufficient for eligibility. Energy, leadership, potential, maturity, ambition and a drive to make a meaningful contribution to the world of business in South Africa are all essential qualities in a successful GIBS MBA applicant.\u200b You need a minimum of five years work experience, at least two years of which must have been at management level. Good English language skills are a necessity in order to to actively participate in academic debate. We require a minimum of Matriculation certificate-level competence in Mathematics and skill in the use of a scientific or financial calculator.
