Some courses have additional requirements which are outlined in the relevant course entry in the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.monash.edu\/pubs\/handbooks\/courses\">Monash University handbook<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minimum academic entry requirements differ depending on the graduate research degree:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/graduate-research\/handbooks\/content\/chapter-two\/2-1\">Doctoral degree (PhD)<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/graduate-research\/handbooks\/masters\/chapter-two\/2-1\">Master\u2019s by research<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>English language proficiency<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>All graduate research degrees require sound English language skills. It is important you understand what&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/graduate-research\/faqs-and-resources\/content\/chapter-two\/2-2\">English language proficiency<\/a>&nbsp;requirements are applicable, noting that certain faculties have higher requirements. Should you be required to undertake an English language proficiency test, ensure you check which tests are accepted by Monash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"EOI\">2.
